Our Community Car Share (OCCS)

Our Community CarShare (OCCS) provides low-cost access to zero-emission electric vehicles to communities in the Sacramento region. The program aims to reduce transportation barriers, improve mobility options, and promote equitable access to clean air and sustainable transportation. By replacing high-polluting car trips with zero-emission carshare use, OCCS helps improve local air quality while supporting California’s climate and equity goals. Launched in 2017, the program continues to operate and assist disadvantaged communities with limited clean transportation methods in the Sacramento region. The program addresses transportation inequities by providing affordable, emission-free mobility options and educational support to help participants confidently adopt sustainable transportation.
