Regional Hydrogen Readiness Planning

H2 Readiness Best Practices

Following the June 12, 2014 Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition's ZEV and Hydrogen Workshop, a "Hydrogen Best Practices" Document has been created. To access the document, go to https://h2tools.org/

What are Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles?

Fuel cell electric vehicles use hydrogen and oxygen to create electricity which is in turn used to power the vehicle's motor. Unlike electric vehicles where the electricity is drawn from a battery alone, the hydrogen powered fuel cell provides the needed electricity. A fuel cell is also 2 to 3 times more efficient than conventional gasoline internal combustion engines and emit only water vapor and warm air. Learn more about fuel cell vehicles from the Alternative Fuels Data Center.
