The Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition hosted a workshop focused on informing fleet managers and other transportation professionals how to best convert their GHG reductions into monetary savings.
John Thornton, President of the sustainable energy consulting practice, CleanFuture, Inc., broke down California's Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credit system and detailed how fleets can best monetize the credits produced by their alternative fuel vehicles.
Raef Porter, formerly of SACOG, furthered the discussion by describing how public-private partnerships are key to not only reducing GHG emissions, but also to maximizing their monetary savings.
