Natural Gas Vehicle Training:  PG&E is offering NGV training classes again this year.  These classes are taught by experts in the industry.    To appropriately schedule these classes, PG&E is attempting to determine the interest level.  Please respond to Jill Egbert, JME3@pge.com, with how many people you'd like to send to each of these classes.

        1) CNG Cylinder Inspection Training, 1-1/2 to 2 days.  Dr. Mark Connelly

        2) CNG Fueling Station O&M, 1-1/2 to 2 days.    NGVI – Leo Thomason

        3) CNG/NGV Driver/Mechanic Training, 1 day.     NGVI – Leo Thomason

The location of the training will be determined by where the most demand is.

 

Clean Cities Congress & Expo 2006: Arizona Senator John McCain is scheduled as the keynote speaker at the Clean Cities Congress & Expo 2006: The four-day event, which runs from May 7-10 at the Phoenix Convention Center, will also feature presentations from more than 100 speakers with expertise in the fuels, vehicles and technologies that are affordable, available today, and offer alternatives to imported petroleum.

Other activities at AFVI's 2006 Congress include:

 

·         Sessions focusing on the business case for biodiesel, ethanol, compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, hybrids, and propane;

·         Experts addressing the financial incentives in the 2005 energy bill for purchasing vehicles and fuel, and infrastructure development;

·         An in-depth fleet tutorial for private and public fleet professionals requiring an introduction to the market;

·         More than 100 exhibitors providing a one-stop shopping marketplace for alternative fuels and vehicles;

·         A Ride-n-Drive featuring the latest vehicles, as well as stationery displays of new technologies such as idle reduction and hybrid systems.
